76J Temperature Sensor

- Application
- Boiler heating, Applications requiring fast response in liquids
Therm-O-Disc's NTC thermistor temperature sensors offer low cost, reliable performance, and high accuracy, providing clear advantages over traditional bimetallic thermostats that typically measure only one or two temperature points. These sensors feature highly sensitive thermistors whose resistance changes rapidly with temperature. When integrated with electronic circuitry, they enable continuous temperature monitoring over a wide range.
Product Features: 1. Low cost 2. Stable performance, long service life 3. High sensitivity 4. Various packaging options available.
Principle of Operation: An NTC thermistor is a semiconductor ceramic made from various metal oxides, whose resistance decreases as temperature increases. Controlled by corresponding electronic circuits, it measures ambient temperature. Unlike bimetallic thermostats providing both sensing and control, the thermistor acts solely as a temperature sensor; electronic control is handled by the connected circuitry.
The 76J thermistor temperature sensor exhibits ultra-fast thermal response, small size, and low cost. Available in various material constructions: stainless steel, plastic, nickel-plated copper, or other customer-specified materials. The internal thermistor element can meet any resistance-temperature curve and tolerance.
