The G8 series MICROTEMP® thermal cutoff is designed for high current applications such as large appliances and high wattage electric heating elements, rated for operating currents up to 25 Amps at 250VAC (20 Amps at 277VAC).

It offers an economical alternative to electromechanical bimetallic one-shot devices and can be used in applications where its small size (same physical size as G4, G5, and G6 series cutoffs) provides an advantage in mounting and thermal response.
